Paul G. for Model Number KitchenAid KSRP22FSWH00 I have water leaking out of my ice maker which causes massive chunks of ice in my freezer from the drip. I was told (on this site) that a water inlet valve (AP3176835) was the answer to the problem. After installing, this did not help at all. Any other ideas? One clue. Every once in a while the fridge makes a noise for about 10 seconds, this comes from the ice maker area. If I open the fridge right after I see water dripping from the ice maker.
Answer Hello Paul! You will need to make sure that the icemaker is completely level. It it is not, it can cause water to leak from the icemaker area. If the icemaker is calling for too much water, it will need to be replaced. The icemaker is part number WPW10190961. Before replacing, remove the cover of the icemaker. There is an adjustment screw on the right side of the control module. Turn the screw clockwise to reduce the water level, but no more than 2 complete revolutions. If this does not correct the issue, try replacing the icemaker. Hope it helps, thanks! Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, January 31, 2012
