Icemaker for Model Number 106.56704500 My ice maker isn't filling up with water but dispenser on door works fine. I changed out the complete ice maker and still no ice. Can one coil or valve on water inlet go bad? How do you check for continuity on the coils for this one whirlpool part#AP4327602. I don't mind replacing parts but the first answer did't work. So before I spend another $106 please help me trouble shoot this one again.
Answer Hello. Yes, one coil can go bad. You will test for power to the solenoid and if it is there, and the water does not flow, you will need to replace the water valve on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
