Ki for Model Number Whirlpool GS6NBEXRL01 On my Whirlpool GS6NBEXRL01 refrigerator, water started to drip a very little every few minutes or so through the water spout. Some times more frequently and sometimes less frequently. Reading some Q&A here and others made me believe that I needed to replace the Water Inlet Valve. So I did, but I continue to have the same problem. Maybe the amount/frequency has gotten lower than before, so it's less noticeable, but I can see it still drips. What else can be wrong? I asked about another question about when I push out the water filter, the water started to splashes out and I was told the filter housing needs to be replaced. Can filter housing also cause this water dripping through the water spout problem?
Answer Li, if you have a leak in the plastic water line anywhere in the water system it will drip. The water line needs to me in a vacuum so that no air is introduced into the line. When air gets into a water line, it will leak. Check all your connections, all the way back to the water valve to see if there is a loose connection. Read More...
