John B. for Model Number Thermador KBUDT4860A02 I would like to replace the ice maker water inlet valve (your service department tells me this is P/N AP3775453). This is a built in refrigerator. Can you tell me where this is located and how significant a repair this is. Getting to back of refrigerator is more difficult than if this is located on door.
Answer Hello John, The water inlet valve WP2188786 on these units are usually located under the unit. The kick panel has to be removed and, unless the installer provided a water cut off in the water line, the water to the home will have to be turned off.
