Tep for Model Number Whirlool (WRB 322DMBM00) I had to replace my water inlet valve due to a crack in the plastic of the valve. Before the valve broke/crack everything was working great with the ice maker After replacing the valve with a new one, the ice was being made but the bottom of the ice cube holding tray had a thin layer of ice and the ice cubs were freezing together. could the new valve installed be the problem (that the water is not totally shutting off inside the valve (bad valve) or is it something else?
Answer TEP, For this issue you will want to pull the icemaker and check the mold to make sure that it is not deteriorating which would cause leaking. If the mold is ok then it is possible that you received a faulty water valve not fully shutting off. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, January 28, 2019
