Dustin B. for Model Number mah4000aww When I start my cycle for my washer, The water is coming out hot and cold at the same time no matter what the setting is. It is running the water continuously all through the cycles. This is even occurring during the final spin mode, where no water should be running at all. When the wash cycle stops, and the door unlocks, the water will stop running. Can you give me advice on whether this could possibly be the Water Valve, or the control board? I have already replaced the Motor Control Board and the Motor in January of 2013.
Answer Hello Dustin. It sounds like the water valve is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, February 24, 2014
Answer Hello Dustin, This unit has a temperature sensor and the water temperature is adjusted automatically by the control. It does not matter what water temperature it is set to, since it is designed to adjust the water when set to cold, to a minimum of 65°F. The hot valve still gets opened to stabilize the water temperature. If the valve opens when it should remain closed, the water temperature switch 22002268, the timer WP22002867, or the machine control board WP22002989 is at fault. Read More...
