Michael I noticed our ice maker wasn't making ice. I found the tube that feeds the ice maker had frozen ice inside of it. I used a hair dryer to thaw it so the ice would come out of the tube. Upon doing this, the ice maker kept over filling causing water to spill all over the freezer. I could see a constant stream of water coming out of the plastic tube in the freezer. I checked this inlet valve and when I disconnected the tube leading to the freezer, it was letting a small stream of water out. Am I correct in thinking this inlet valve likely needs to be replaced, or would it be the ice maker iteself? Thanks in advance for any info you have.
Answer Hello Michael. Yes, based on the information you provided, it sounds like the water valve 4318046 is bad and needs to be replaced. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, December 7, 2011
