Howard for Model Number MDG3050AAW I have exactly the same problem. My dryer is noise and ive replaced the drum rollers, bearings, belt, fabric seals etc the fan blower must be the only thing it is... However, its got a hairline crack in it on the motor shaft and it spins freely when trying to get it off - the actual thread does not turn, I have no idea how to remove the blower fan now to replace it? I put a wrench on the rear to stop the motor spinning, but when turning the front it still just spins both ways even though the motor is not turning? Do I hack at the plastic and try to cut it off and get access to the motor shaft? then use Vice grips etc if I can get to it? I would love some suggestions., thank you very much
Answer Howard, there should be a retaining clip WP9703438 and a clamp WP312967 that would be used to attach the blower wheel 33001790 to the motor shaft. These two items would need to be removed to be able to pull the blower wheel forward. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Sunday, February 7, 2021
