Downloaded the Frigidaire Service Manual for Electric 5.8 cubic foot dryer from the ApplicanePartsPro.com forum. Used its information to check for error codes. None display. Ran the function test sequence. All the tests OK. Used a mutli-meter to check the circuit to the moisture sensor bars inside the door. I started by replacing the lid switch without the desired result. So I decided to replace the timer unit. It works like a new machine at the moment. At least on the first trial load. More loads will convince me that it is fixed for sure. I cannot be more complimentary about Appliance Parts Pros as I live very remotely in West Texas. After talking to the tech support people and telling them that the bake element and temp. probe were new and still had the same problem. They said it sound like the control board was bad. The washing machine intermittently would not agitate or spin. A reset of the timer dial fixed it. Then nothing fixed it. Replaced the cheap plastic lever supporter with another LG OEM cheap plastic lever supporter. I should have bought two as I can see this problem happening again. Job was a simple fix and only required a Phillips head screwdriver. I did not need to remove any connections as there was enough room and wire to pull out the oven control assembly and make the repair. Replaced the defrost timer. It was not located where the parts explode suggested in the thermostat control box which is located in the upper right corner of the liner. It was in fact outside the freezer compartment on the back lower left support (when looking at the back of the freezer). It is secured with 2 sheet metal screws with a 1/4 hex head.
