The washing machine intermittently would not agitate or spin. A reset of the timer dial fixed it. Then nothing fixed it. Downloaded the Frigidaire Service Manual for Electric 5.8 cubic foot dryer from the ApplicanePartsPro.com forum. Used its information to check for error codes. None display. Ran the function test sequence. All the tests OK. Used a mutli-meter to check the circuit to the moisture sensor bars inside the door. Thought maybe the circuit could be open due to a loose plug or broken wire. This could signal the control board that the clothes are dry. This all checked OK. Since the top four... Read more

Replaced the defrost timer. It was not located where the parts explode suggested in the thermostat control box which is located in the upper right corner of the liner. It was in fact outside the freezer compartment on the back lower left support (when looking at the back of the freezer). It is secured with 2 sheet metal screws with a 1/4 hex head. Simple fix. YouTube was my teacher. Remove 4 screws, replaced failed interface assembly and replaced 4 screws. Second part purchased from Appliance Parts Pros and very satisfied with process. First was a washing machine timer control. Thanks. Read more

I initially purchased a door switch, thinking that it would solve the problem. I replaced the switch by removing the top 6 star screws, removing the component cover and removing one of the door switches (using a 3/16 socket) with the new one that I bought but I still had the problem. The guy from sears quoted 450 dollars to replace the control board. That's an huge amount of money to throw on a fridge that's is only 3 years old. Did some research online and cane across appliancepartpros website and they had the parts for 130. Ordered it it was shipped to me in 2 days. The repair was easy.
