Let me start by mentioning my Bosch dishwasher is 11 years old and have been repaired once by Sears and the rest of the time by me. The Sears experience was 2 weeks of frustration because they don't carry any parts with them. Anyway, the repair history of this unit includes: 2 controller boards, drain pump, on/off switch, and facia panel. This repair was to replace the lower door seal and door gasket.
I read all of the online troubleshooting to see if there was a "free repairs" I overlooked. Since there were several mentions of misdirected spray by clogged spray arms, I eliminated those first. Finding none, I then removed anything not permanently to the stainless steel tub. What I did see was some moldy looking slime around gaskets and water inlets. This was removed pretty quickly using my Waterpik (yes, it has multiple uses!). There was also a "slime blob" against the lower door seal on the same side as my leak. It didn't leak for a couple of days after removing the blob, but for $50 why chance it. Long story short, both gaskets were replaced and the leak is fixed. It took me longer to replace the lower gasket because I didn't have room to just pull the unit out halfway as recommended in the video. Since everything is fixed now, I'm going to look for a new dishwasher during the November sales. Patience has its limits!
