How to Troubleshoot & Replace Bosch AP4927070 / 00622058 Water Inlet Valve

Thought it was a draining issue, but found no clogs. Soaked up all the water with a towel and by the next morning it was back. Soaked up all the water again and this time turned off the water. This solved the problem so I decided it wasn't a draining or water backing up issue, but a faulty water inlet valve. Ordered the valve and it was at my door less than 24 hours later. Watched the provided video, easy fix! 

Replaced the Water Inlet Valve. I am not a very handy person, but this was a super easy replacement. There were several videos on YouTube, including from Appliance PartsPros.com that were easy to follow. I'm just glad that I correctly diagnosed the issue and replaced the correct part. 

I am so super proud of myself for fixing my own dishwasher! I will start calling myself Dishwasher Girl. It was leaking from one particular spot underneath. I watched YouTube videos to figure out how to disconnect it. Then I searched for the part I thought the leak was coming from, the Water Inlet Valve. AppliancePartsPros.com sent me a new one and I figured out how to take the old one off and put the new one on. Then I reinstalled the dishwasher. Super fun and my dishwasher works perfectly! So awesome. 

Replaced the Water Inlet Valve. 

I ordered a new Water Inlet Valve from your website and made the repair. 

Replaced the Water Inlet Valve and Drain Hose. 

I determined that it was dripping from the inlet water valve after watching a cycle laying on the floor looking under it. I pulled out the dishwasher and ran it while able to see the back and saw that was the ONLY place it was leaking from. I bought a new Water Inlet Valve on AppliancePartsPros and replaced it. The hardest part of the repair was getting the copper tubing out of the old part. After that was complete, the repair was a piece of cake and there is no more water leaking from the dishwasher. All of this happened AFTER I called a repair guy who said he didn't work on my brand of dishwasher so I was in fear that I would need to buy a new dishwasher. 

I replaced the water inlet valve and this eliminated the leaking problem. The major challenge in the repair was removing the elbow fitting attached to the defective valve. 

Replaced Inlet Control Valve and Float Assembly. I replaced both for two reasons. One, I was unsure which part was the actual cause, and two, since I was going to pull the unit out for repair, it made sense to go ahead and replace both parts at the same time. Huge thanks to AppliancePartsPros.com
