How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP4365553 / 134937300 Washer Door Strike Assembly

Originally ordered the wrong part but called and cancelled the order. I was assisted in getting the correct part for the repair. Very helpful 

It was simple to fix. Googled how to remove the part, quickly found the part using the washer model number and part description. Ordered from AppilancePartsPros.com. Ordered the part and it came in quickly! Yea! Now my washer works! 

I ordered the strike assembly and at my age 80 years of age waited a couple of days before I decided to install it. I unplugged the washer cord first, then used a hand drill to remove the two screws holding the strike. I used a small standard head screwdriver to pry the side of the strike out, so I could grab it more easily and pull it out of the slot. Placed new strike in the hole and screwed back in with drill The time used was 5 minutes. WORKED PERFECT! Doing laundry now. Janet M.

Found the problem with broken latch, located the part quickly on webpage and placed order. It arrived in 3 days and in 15 minutes we were back in business. 

I thought "why should I pay 75.00 for a service call". I decided to try and fix it myself. I found Appliance Parts Pros online. With an easy search I suddenly had a picture of the part I needed in front of me. I ordered the part using regular shipping. In 20 minutes, I had installed the part myself. It surprised me as I'm 73 and have a limited mobility. 

Wow, Just like the reviews said. You made it so easy to find the correct part. Two screws out and two screws in. Thank you so much for the guidance. The hardest part was prying the old strike out. I just used a putty knife to loosen it. 

Located replacement part on APP.com, ordered it, and installed it. Door now closes and latches properly (better than with original latch). Part plus shipping was pricey, but the service was excellent, with only two days from the time I ordered it..
