How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP8053015 / 242009604 Water Filter Base (Housing)

I ordered the dispenser kit from AppliancePartrsPros.com and I also ordered another filter mechanism for the water filter and those two came a couple of days later. The installation was very easy because I followed the video that they provided me with and the refrigerator works fine. I saved myself about $400 in refrigerator technician labor. This was a great experience. 

I followed the directions on the AppliancePartsPros.com video and the fix went perfectly. I will use this company again!! 

Bought a new one. Replaced it per the YouTube video. Works great, 

Purchased the original equipment filter from AppliancePartsPros.com and it was a perfect fit. 

Put a new Water Filter Base in and still made the same noise. Got on the internet and found out the problem and no answers.Gave up for the day. Then watch some TV and went to bed. In the morning I was thinking about it and came up with a supply line cross. I was right and changed them and it work. No more noise and been working. Its common mistake plus I am a plumber it happens to many water lines' It working plus it drove me nuts. 

Live and learn, never put items up against the back of your refrigerator stopping the airflow. I did this and caused the water line to freeze. In an attempt to fix it, I used a heat gun and accidentally warped the parts in the water filter assembly. By replacing all three of the items listed that fit perfectly the problem was solved. 

I replaced the Water Filter Base. We watched the video and ordered the part. Installed in 10 minutes. 

I bought a cheap filter from a competitor and it leaked at the water filter base. I watched the videos on AppliancePartsPros.com and thought the water filter base was broken. I ordered a new filter and base from them. Once I pushed the new filter in, no leak. I now have a replacement base in case it fails at some point. Buy only approved parts. 

I had to replace the water filter base, because I broke it trying to install an after-market water filter. I bought an after-market water filter because the OEM filters are ridiculously expensive. I called the filter supplier, and their customer service guy told me to give the filter an extra hard shove and it would lock into the base. Yeah - it did, but it broke the locking mechanism. After watching the YouTube video from AppliancePartsPros.com, I ordered the water filter base. It arrived the next day. Installation was 5 minutes. No more after-market filters !!!!! 

Checked about everything possible. Then when no water was going through the filter. I was hopeful this part would do the trick. Ordered then received the part and all was well again. It took longer to find the issue. The part is easy to find and order. Received fast. About an hour to troubleshoot and 15 minutes to remove the old part and install new part.
