How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP8053015 / 242009604 Water Filter Base (Housing)

Replaced new part in less than 20 minutes. 

Watched the accompanying video and it was a breeze! 

Ordered the part after watching the video on the problem. Got the part the next day and changed it out in less than 5 minutes. Solved my problem. 

Researched online other others with the same problem. Frigidaire took forever to get a person on the line and then I couldn't get to a technician to evaluate the problem. I determined that I needed a new water filter base. Got the part in 1 day from Appliance Parts Pros and installed it. Easy part to install and all is good now. 

Oh my goodness. What an easy fix. Usually, when I try and do repairs, it NEVER goes right the first time. My MacGyver skills are good though so I can usually figure it out. This was SOOOO easy! Worked right the first time. Only issue, hard to reach back to back of fridge and contain screws as they come out. Had to search for screws throughout the lower shelves, and found some science experiments growing in parts unknown. 

I watched the video provided by Appliance Parts Pros which illustrated what an easy fix it was. I ordered the part and paid for standard shipping fee with their promise to be here in about a week. I was totally blown away by receiving it the next day! It was as easy to install as the video explained. This company saved me hundreds of dollars that I would have paid a appliance repair person. I will be going to this company first for any appliance repair.

I went online found the web site for appliance parts pros.com, I was able to purchase a replacement part for the base. I saw the video on how to install it, it was very easy with the guide of the video to install the part, the water is now working very good now. Thanks a lot. 

Ordered part, investigated installation. Had to call in to further clarify how to remove the outer cover since our Frigidaire has LED lights and therefore needed different instructions to pop the cover off to get to the housing. After that it was a cinch - the representative suggested to look on line for instructions and they were there for our model. Very easy installation, everything working again - we have water and ice - thank you.
