How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP3844563 / 134527100 Outer Bellow Clamp

Watched the video a few times for door boot seal replacement. It was a lot of help! The spring is the hardest to replace and I did enlist the help of my wife. Everything went back on great. If you have to replace the front panel (with the buttons) be mindful that the buttons are spring loaded and will come out. I did not lose any and it went back together just fine. A little touch up paint on the washer and it all looks brand new and works great. And the parts came in quicker than expected! Great folks to work with!

Replaced the door bellows. The clamps and a tub filter. 

I went on YouTube and posed the problem. Up popped Appliance Parts Pros answer. So I clicked on that information and there were a couple of troubleshooting ideas. Not only did it answer my question, but also the part was listed and the price. Included in the answer was also a short video on how to make the repair, the time required and what tools would be needed. The price was actually a little higher than another appliance parts place, but I decided that this service went above and beyond my expectations. So I ordered the part and the tracking also had the repair video attached so I wouldn't have to search again. The part arrived in about four days, I followed the instructions to install the new part and it solved the problem. I would definitely use Appliance Parts Pros again. Great experience. 

Inside bellow, Clamped spring at top, stretching spring to 8 o'clock and 4 o'clock and clamping. Stretch rest in place around the bottom. Outside bellows clamp is a wire with small spring, easily slips in place. 

I had ordered the parts after researching the problem on your website and watching the installation videos. Because the washer is 10 years old, and they had to be removed to install the boot seal, I ordered both the clamps, too. Ordering and shipping uneventful, which is what we like! Husband installed the parts in < 2hrs. I helped with the installation of the clamps (he has arthritis in his hands). Once done, I used the Affresh Washer Cleaner x 2. Not certain that it helped much. No leaks and the boot seal was much improved. Wish we'd replaced it long ago (and then we probably wouldn't have developed the leak). 

Ordered new spring clamps and that stopped the leak. The old spring clamps were rusted. The video really help to do it myself. 

The parts shipped instantly. Thank you! Installed new door boot seal. Worked like a charm. That said, it was a fight to get the new seal installed on the wash tub, and then another fight to get the spring clamp installed. You need 5 hands. I used a carpenter's quick-clamp, on a flat spot at the bottom of the wash tub concrete ballast, to hold the spring clamp open while I worked it around the seal. 

I changed the door lock and now the machine works just fine. I ordered the clamp because I saw that it had rusted a bit and before I took it off I wanted to have a new clamp on hand. The new clamp worked perfectly.
