How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP6892696 / 5304518660 Range Clock Control Board

A new control board was purchase and installed. The broiler/oven now works. 

It's took about 30 min. To fix after I received the control board and it only took 2 days to get the board. 

Tested coil/it was fine (not an open circuit). Replaced controller and stove worked perfectly 

Neither the bake or broiler would work on my range. Neither element was damaged or blistered. After reading the descriptions or troubleshooting on Appliance Parts Pros, I determined that the control board had failed on my range. I ordered a replacement from Appliance Parts Pros and then watched the video on how to replace the part. It took approximately 15 minutes to replace. Everything went smoothly and simply. This is the third time I have used Appliance Parts Pros. First for a washer then a dishwasher and I'm sure I will use them again. Thanks Appliance Parts Pros. 

Ordered the part from AppliancePartsPros.com. Placed the control overlay on top of the control board, switched the wiring from old part to new one on the back, very simple as each were labeled, mounted back into where board went. Was one very easy peazy repair. Put metal cover plate back on with the screws that I had taken out. Cleaned up my mess and pushed oven back into it’s place. Could not “believe”how easy fixing this was. Thank you AppliancePartsPros.com. Your website with it’s videos and unbelievable parts inventory and ease of finding what one needs is absolutely a magical experience. My hubs was shocked again as I made this repair !!! I have now repaired/ replaced parts on our dryer, microwave, fridge and this oven. Yippee!!! BTW, our son just recently repaired his dryer with parts and the online videos, from APP. He’s a happy camper too!!!!! Thank you so much. 

After reviewing some information online, it was apparent the control board went bad and required replacement. The parts (Overlay - has button names, etc. and Oven control board) arrived within 2 business days. Once it arrived, I removed the packaging, removed the backside strip to expose the adhesive for the overlay and properly placed it over the control board. Once the overlay was in place, I removed the front protective plastic coating. I then installed it as seen in the supporting video on the appliancepartspros.com site and tested the oven elements out. They then worked like a charm! Two things to note about this experience was, unlike purchasing replacement parts from a site such as ebay (as I've done in the past for my replacement dryer motor), the parts that arrived were genuine factory parts as described on the website. The difficulty level was easy as suggested and I completed the job in 15 minutes or so. I'm not a skilled handyman by any stretch of the imagination but if you can read and have a desire to fix your oven without paying twice as much as necessary, you can tackle this job without issue. 

Ordered new oven control board. Service was excellent, we got it in two days. Took probably 10 minutes to install. I used the plastic display cover from the old oven control board. I will always go to appliance parts.com for all my repairs. Saved a lot of money. Happy--happy!! 

I wasn't positive of the problem until I read all of these stories. It was exactly what my oven was doing, so I ordered the control board. Amazingly, it was in my mail the very next day. I was shocked it got here so quickly. Installing it took less then 5 minutes, and we were back in business. Everything went perfectly, couldn't of asked for more. Great experience! 

According to our model's manual it said the F1 code could mean the clock was bad or either the temperature probe was bad. I ordered both replace both and oven is working fine now. The only thing is is the new clock and the probe are both different from the original. You will have to use the old end off of your probe and splice it onto your new probe. And the hookups for the clock or a little different but self-explanatory if you look at everything. 

Diagnosed the heaters as good, moved on to the control board/clock. Found a burned out capacitor. Replaced the board and it works perfectly now.
