How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP5306797 / 297370602 Electrical Control

Googled the problem on the Whirlpool (Frigidare) freezer, looked up the parts list from the model number, read the comments, which came to the general consensus the electronic board had been not working correctly. Ordered the part from Appliance Parts Pros.com, which they sent an acknowledgement right back. I ordered on a Tuesday, received my part on that Friday (which included Thursday as Thanksgiving), and changing the part was easier than ordering it. It just snapped out and the new one snapped in, and my freezer it like new again. Saved Hundreds buy not having to buy a new freezer and didn't have to deal with buying and waiting on delivery. I'll be saving this website in my favorites. Good luck with anyone using Appliance Parts Pros.com they get 2 thumbs up. 

I purchased a new electronic Thermostat Thank you My Freezer works fine now 

Popped the old panel out with the tip of a flathead screwdriver and popped the new one in. Likely the easiest repair I've ever done. No screws. Maybe took 2 minutes. 

Replaced control 

Power outage and it fried the controller module in the door of my Kenmore upright freezer. Searched online and found appliance parts pros website and found my specific fail mentioned by other users. I ordered the recommended part, it arrived in 2 days and was a very easy swap new, now! They even called me before finalizing the order, to ensure it was actually me who ordered it and to verify it was the correct part. Excellent customer service!! 

Replaced the Electronic Control. 

Thanks to a power surge from a limb on the power lines the overload and run capacitor went out. But while I checked incoming power I forgot to check power from the control panel. Once I realized I had missed that I checked and ordered a new control panel. Once it was installed everything was operational. 

After receiving the part from Appliance Parts Pros, I was able to pop out the old control panel with a screwdriver and put in the new one. All fixed. 

After reading comments from other customers. I ordered the Control It took about 10 seconds to replace. Now it works like a new.freezer. Thanks 

I noted that the control display no longer showed a number - it was a few random components of a number. Research on AppliancePartsPros indicated the likely failure was the electrical control component, so I ordered it. When I replaced the part, the freezer began functioning as normal.
