How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP3219391 / 154430601 Dishwasher Door Spring

The hardest thing to do was to open the door..after that it was easy thanks to appliance parts pros..New latch and door seal delivered next day Found replacement video on YouTube. Very simple. APP is the best. 

I ordered new parts, watched the video and now the door works perfectly. 

Replaced it. 

Successfully replaced linkage and springs on both side of the dishwasher door. Completed the work myself in less than half an hour. 

Removed the footplate from the dishwasher, and I was able to access the door springs and door spring linkage on both sides of the dishwasher. I removed the bad spring and the spring linkage on the one side, and replaced with the new spring and linkage I had ordered. Only took about a minute to do. Checked to make sure the door opened and closed properly, then I replaced the spring and linkage on the other side, so I'd have new springs and linkage on both sides. After both sides were replaced, put the footplate back on the dishwasher and was done. Less than 5-10 minutes. 

I replaced the gasket that ran the length of the bottom of the door. Also replaced the tub gasket but felt that the door gasket alone would have fixed the problem. 

After seeing your repair video I ordered the springs. Being handy and 75 the job took 20 minutes with the help of my appendice aka my wife. All is working good. Thanks 

I watched your video and followed the instructions. It was quite simple. 

The local appliance repair and parts store wanted about $80 for a spring and linkage, so it would have cost me $160 in parts to replace both door springs and linkages. I spent half of that by using Appliance Parts Pro. The parts arrived quickly and fit perfectly. I am going to bookmark their website and I have a few other projects in mind -- they will be my first stop. 

Replaced both door springs and one linkage.To get access to the springs I had to slide the dishwasher out from the cabinets.
