How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP4433236 / 316489403 Gas Range Oven Igniter

I disassembled the bottom of the oven to watch the ignitor. I could set the oven to 350º, the igniter would start to glow, but then nothing would happen after that. After watching a few YouTube videos, it seems that the ignitor is a common problem and even though it does glow, it won't get hot enough to trigger the circuitry to allow the gas to start flowing. After replacing this part, everything works fine. There were only 2 screws holding the part in place but one of them gave me a really hard time removing it. 

Ordered a new oven ignitor. It matched with the wiring harness already in place, with no splicing. Very easy to repair. 

Oven was taking over three minutes to ignite. Broiler and burners operating correctly, so figured it must be the bottom over igniter. This website allowed me to correctly identify the exact part I needed, and the video showed me exactly how to replace it. Once the igniter was replaced, oven ignited in 20 seconds. Perfect fix. Thanks for all the help. 

Changed the temperature sensor and the bake ignitor. 

After watching a few youtube videos, I was able to identify that the ignitor on my Frigidaire oven was not long working. After of course taking the right safety precautions to unplug the stove, turn off the gas, and wear protective gloves, it was so easy to unscrew everything and similarly connect the new ignitor, with AppliancePartsPros.com sent wonderfully on time! They are very reliable, as I was also able to fix my dishwasher motherboard with a part they sent as well. They’re prices are not the lowest, but they are always reliable so I go with them anyway. 

The oven would not heat up. The ignitor was glowing, thought it might be the gas safety valve, the gas valve tested ok resistance-wise. The resistance of the ignitor was 303 ohms (should be between 80 - 160 ohms). Ordered a new ignitor from AppliancePartsPros.com and was cooking with gas in no time. Originally I used another site and purchased the ignitor. It was $70 more and got home to find out the terminals in the connector were the wrong style. I think I have found my new appliance parts store! 

It took 5 mins to replace the Bake Ignitor. Unplug and disconnect the plug from the wall. Remove the bottom drawer, the oven bottom, and then the igniter. The wiring was long enough to finish under and reconnect the end. Easy and my wife is baking cookies Again! oh yeah, delivered in 2 days! 

My husband did the job. 

We bought a new ignitor and opted to buy the exact replacement vs some random stuff from other suppliers. 

I watched a video from AppliancePartsPros.com on YouTube which helped me diagnose the issue. I then ordered the Gas Oven Igniter and was up and running about 45 minutes after starting the repair. The videos they offer are great and took me through the whole installation.
