Ordered a new heater element, hight-limit thermostat, and inlet thermal fuse. Same parts had been replaced just under 4yrs ago. Unit sits on a drawer pedestal so it was easier to access the heater element by unplugging the power cord, removing the exhaust vent tube then removing the dryer top panel and rear bracket, rear panel, water line, brackets attaching dryer to the pedestal. About 30+ screws! Also need to remove the power cord clamp so the back panel can slide down the cord and away from the back of the dryer. Remove the 2 screws holding the heater element assy to the bottom panel. Unhook the black wire on left side of assy. Then can carefully slide the whole assy out where the wires on right side can be removed. Also will need to remove the holding bracket, and the old thermostat, and fuse. Save the screws to reuse.
