Mellissa L Buckeye , AZ December 26, 2019 Appliance: Frigidaire Dryer AEQ8000FS0 Hum when pressing start button no drum motion We hopped online to see if the part could be bought and found appliance parts pros had the part and even had a video of how to replace it! We were excited about this because that meant we could save $ and do it ourselves. We did have to make a few adjustments along the way since our model dryer was different. One big difference was we couldn't take out the drum, it was attached to the back panel and we couldn't take it off. That did make it a bit more challenging to get the motor in and out but it definitely would take 2 people to do the job. It took us over an hour to complete the job and make sure you have all the tools required. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours Tools: Screwdrivers, Socket Set

Tina B Sparta , MI November 08, 2019 Loud squealing and dryer quit running bad bearing in motor, motor replaced Watched the video and followed along, Appliance Parts Pros have really great videos and I was able to fix it myself. Ordered the motor one evening, went with the faster shipping for less than $10 and it arrived before I was home from work the next day. This is not the first time I have used them and the shipping is always very fast the videos are very clear and I have replaced the rear bearing in both my washer and dryer. I am going to keep my 16-year-old appliances as long as I can keep fixing them because I’m not sure I could fix the newer models- a happy 43 yr old female who hates hanging socks up to dry. Shawn V Cleveland , OH March 29, 2019 My electric dryer was not heating, and it was making a very loud noise when in spin I replace the heating element, the blower motor fan blade, also the blower motor itself. I figured why use the old one, just replace the whole thing. Basically have a whole new dryer now. This was a total rebuild. I ordered parts from you all previously. I bought the drum balancer for little slot for the dryer drum, also bought the dryer drum belt so all in all this was a total rebuild of my dryer which is working fine now, thank you Read More... John E Novato , CA February 21, 2019 Dryer drum was hard to turn motor tripped out and making an intermittent squeak I had previously replaced the rear drum bearing and felt gaskets and the idler pulley was good. But two months later the squeaking began and the motor tripped out again and the drum seemed a little hard to turn, I figured the only thing left was the motor.I replaced the motor and now the drum turns nice and smooth, no squeaking. It even sounds smoother. I would have just replaced the dryer since it is at least over 12 years old but it is an under cabinet built-in and they don't make that size anymore. Fortunately you can still get parts for them. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 2+ hours Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers, Socket Set
