How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP4561566 / 316419141 Overlay

I replaced the eoc. The project took about 15 minutes to do. It's all plug and play so no wiring diagram is needed. 

Ordered new panel and replaced it 

Replace the panel control board. 

Appliance parts pros came to the rescue. Just a few short weeks after my home warranty expired we experienced a power outage which surged and fried the electronic control board on my range. Thanks to appliancepartspros.com and they're installation videos I was able to fix the problem myself. 

The bake element had sparked when turned on, and then the oven would't heat. The bake element was actually broken in half. I ordered a new control board as well because it seemed that it had to be more than the bake element alone, because the broiler element also wouldn't work. The video was totally helpful for installation instructions.I am a woman with no repair skills, but I did the troubleshooting and repair myself with the exception that I needed help identifying the tool to take off the back of the oven and pulling the electrical connections out of the old control unit. The regular mail took about 3 days, but I really didn't need my oven so I didn't choose the more expensive, faster mail service. 

I ordered the circuit board and faceplate. Super easy. Took top part off back. Unplugged wiring replaced whole piece at once. Plugged wiring in replaced back. 

Screwed off back panel, unplugged clock and plugged new one it. Replaced back panel. 

Looked online.. cross-referenced the parts and ordered them. Easily done by following the video. I replaced the Clock/Control and Overlay within 10 minutes. 

My next door neighbor, an elderly woman, had the control for her over burn up. She could not afford a repair man to come out so I told her I would fix it. I got confused and ordered the wrong control. I called the Pros and the girl I talked to set me straight. She was very knowledgeable and sent me the correct part. The company also made it very easy to return the wrong control for a full refund.I would highly recommend this company for anyone who wants to try to fix any appliance themselves. Replaced the clock and everything works great. Easy fix.
