How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3965155 / WH43X10034 Washer Agitator Assembly

I grabbed the base of the old agitator with two hands placed 180 degrees apart and pulled straight up with force. The agitator came right out. Be careful not to hit you face with the agitator when removing it. I then took the new agitator and lined the splines up with the splines on the coupler and pressed straight down until agitator clicked on. Repair done. Washer fixed. Agitates like new again. 

Pulled off the old agitator and snapped on the new one. Transferred the dispensing cup from the old one to the new one. 

Just took old one off and slipped new one on. 

I ordered the new agitator from Appliancepartspros.com and had it shipped in 2 days. Easy fix! 

We order a new adutator. Watched the veido on how to change out. Fast and easy after watching the veido. Made it a 1 on the difficulty scale. 

Replace the whole part 

I did it! The video that was provided walked me through this repair. I did not have the strength to pull up on the agitator to remove it at first, but the tip on the video worked. A total believer. Also, I ordered the part on a Monday and it arrived at my door on Tuesday with standard shipping. 

Simple fix, remove old agitator, unholy coupler and install new coupler and agitator. No issues with it now. 

I replaced both. My wife thought she would be getting a new washer. I don't mind spending the money but in my opinion the new appliances have way too many electronic parts and they usually are the first parts to fail(based on stories of owners of the newer appliances) 

After watching repair video ordered part and presto fixed in less than five minutes.
