How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3965155 / WH43X10034 Washer Agitator Assembly

I looked at the video for replacement info. Ordered the agitator. Received the part in just a couple of days. I was surprised at how fast the part was shipped. I put on a pair of gloves, took out the softener cup in the agitator, got my fingers under the agitator and pulled it up and off. Then snapped the new agitator back on and replaced the softer cup. Done, in less than a minute. I will say, that getting the old agitator off took a lot more muscle power than I had thought. Glad I watched the video, or I would have thought I had to take a bolt out somewhere. When I came back up out of the basement with the old agitator in the shipping box, my wife couldn't believe I was done in such a short time. I had to show her the old one to prove it. Thank You, you saved us the cost of a service call, for I don't know how much and the wife is very happy now, priceless! 

Ordered new part, and watched video, replaced and all is good!!!! 

Repaced agitator assembly. 

Looked up the parts online, compared prices & ordered from Appliance Parts Pro.com. Had my parts in 3 days. Simple fix, pulled up on the agitator, pops right out, replaced the Coupling & popped in the new agitator. 20 mins & it's fixed. 

When I took it apart it looked like the agitator and coupler were both worn and since they're both plastic (or at least not metal) I decided to replace them both at once to be sure the issue was fixed. Runs like new now and for less then $50.00 including shipping and less than an hour of my time. The only tricky part was removing the agitator. When the cap was removed there was no nut holding the agitator on. AppliancePartsPro sent me a PDF copy of the where I learned you just needed to get your fingers under opposite edges and pull up forcefully. I did put a folded bath towel on top of the agitator to avoid smacking myself in the face when it came free. Of the hour the actual fix took less than 10 minutes, the rest was diagnosis and finding out how to get it apart. 

Watched your on line vid, cross ref'd correct part number with your chat person. part arrived in two days and took less than 2 minutes to replace. thanx, bill 

Replaced the agitator... Watch your fins for rough spots. Think they are occurring because of zippers etc... Not a good deal! 

I simply popped off the old one, replaced the softener cap from the old one to the new one, and popped the new one took. All in all, took no more than 3 minutes. 

Looked up the part easily on the appliancepartspros.com site. Found the part qyickly...watched the video on installation, and ordered the part. Was here within two days...put it in...DONE RIGHT. 

Installed the new one. It fit perfect and it arrived super fast !!!! Thank you so much anytime I need any parts I will be ordering through you
