How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3968432 / WH01X10302 Drive Belt

Easy to follow video on part page. Anyone can do this. 

Replaced drive belt. Plug and play action! 

Ordered the part @ 430pm on a Friday and it was delivered on a Saturday @ 11am. I was expecting Monday. Excellent customer service. Put pulley tool and new belt on with a little help of a zip tie. Took 2 minutes to put on & BAM, washer works again. 

Super easy to fix ... the teeth were broken on the dial. Pulled a clip, replaced the dial. For the spinning drum the belt was broken... one zip tie, one new belt, and one repair video later it was done i. 5 mins... 

This was a very easy fix! I took the bottom off the washer and laid it on its back. Took the belt and wrapped it around the main drive motor and started to put it around the big main gear, and rotated the gear until the belt went all the way around. Sorry, I don't know the technical terms for the parts, but I hope this gives someone a good idea. The only tools I needed was a wrench and a screw driver. 

Replaced belt 

Complete breakdown. Replaced mode shifter, bearing,seal and retainers. Also belt. 

Exactly how the directions suggested. place the belt installation tool on the motor shaft put the belt in place with a zip tie and turn the drum pulley in a clockwise direction and the belt worked itself on. the belts are very tight I suggest you wear gloves to turn the drum pulley 

Knob was easy fix with needle nose pliers to pull out plastic key behind knob. To remove key, slightly pull out on knob. Belt I replaced without the aligning tool. First time I tried with 1 zip tie and I broke it. I placed 2 zip ties on the belt to pulley, then I used a pry bar slid between and under the motor pulley and belt as a guide. I finally got in on and aligned. If I were to do it over I definitely would have purchased the alignment tool sold for belt installation, as this would have saved a good bit of time and made it much easier. 

I ordered the belt on Monday received the belt in Tuesday. Fast shipping. The belt came with instructions, my husband fixed the washer. I would recommend this website to anyone who does DIY. Great job. Thank you.
