How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3968432 / WH01X10302 Drive Belt

Exact GE parts from you; replaced inlet valve and assembly, drain pump and hose fixed my washer and it now operates like new again $150. To replace my washer of like features would cost $1200. I did the work myself. Your “one day” shipping meant from diagnosis to repair only four days. Thank you.

I first watched your helpful video on replacing the tub bearing. I then went back and ordered every part involved in that and I figured I will have the washer that far taken apart I may as well change the belt too. Your videos make these repairs fairly simple.

I am a mechanism inclined person with moderate appliance repair experience. I was experiencing growls and hard shifting in the wash cycle. I reviewed the video and ordered the parts I felt were necessary and prudent, given I was essentially rebuilding the washer and had already replaced several parts. The washer tore down as described in the video with a few modifications. All the significant parts came with easy to follow instructions for reassembling in a logical process. Assistance of the Appliance Parts Pros video we were able to repair and save. It takes a bit of patience with this fix (the tech department gave us the heads up). We followed the instructions and we were able to make the repair. Please note the space is tight, use gloves if possible there are some sharp edges. The belt is tight but it will go onto the drive wheel, our washer is running great. 

Replaced triple water valve, because there was no hot water and also it will drip in to the tub while off. Pump was very noisy while draining and wouldn’t drain properly. As soon as parts were replaced machine worked properly. 

Replaced drive belt and 4 basket “ shock straps”.
