I was looking for an Ice Maker. After coming to your site and using your troubleshooting tools and some research watching your repair video's I decided to order the Defrost Heater and thermostat. The inside of my freezer was frosting up also. The parts came in two days FedEx from Fl. I live in SC. Watching the video's gave me confidence in tackling these part replacements. This was the first time I have done an appliance repair. It was easy. Took about forty five minutes to swap out the parts. Upon removal of the defrost heater, it was easy to see how the old one was burned out. The hard part of the project was removing / storing the food, cleaning the coils underneath from dust, defrosting the coils with a hair dryer once the back on the inside was off, controlling the water/dust in the kitchen, cleaning the kitchen back to my wife's standard and then replacing all the food. However, the Fridge is working great, just like new, making lots of Ice! 5 degrees in the freezer, 38 degrees in the Fridge. Afternoon spent and $101.00. I figured I saved at least $350.00. I hate paying for service calls and feel great about fixing it myself and knowing it was done right. Next Project, with the help of AppliancePartsPros.com? My son's starter switch on his clothes dryer. He drives me nuts using pliers.
