James P Coral Springs , FL December 04, 2015 Appliance: Model GSD 600L-01 Ge dish washer door would no longer open and close work smoothly I unscrewed the outer plastic door liner and saw that one of the door spring cables located at the bottom of the washer was broken. It was an easy fix as all I had to to do was remove the 2 springs (by hand) and install new cables which I bought on-line. This is an extremely easy job. I replaced both cables as I figured if one cable had broken the other was probably weak and would also break. Screwed the door liner back in place and the door now works good as new. Read More... I removed the lower panel. Then I attached the new door cables to each side. I put the cables around the pulley on each side. Finally I attached the springs. After testing it out I put the bottom panel back on and I was done. It took less than 10 minutes and saved over $100. Read More...
