The rear/base of the element is screwed into the oven with two sheet metal type screws and behind that, there are two wires with eyelet terminals that screw onto the element. First, I disconnected power to the oven at the circuit breaker. Next, I used a screw driver to pull out & remove the bad heating element and then used the new screws that came with the new element to re-attach the two wires to the new element. Note, after removing the wires from the bad element, I was very careful to not let the wires fall back into the oven cavity. After re-attaching the base of the element to the rear of the oven, I turned the circuit breaker back on and tested it out. The new element worked great. Also, the price for this part from AppliancePartsPros.com was nearly 1/2 as much as local stores who happened to have this part in stock. My new part shipped the same day I ordered it, and it came within 3 days--which was totally acceptable with me. I also liked that AppliancePartsPros.com had a helpful instructional video on replacing heating elements.
