After pulling the stove out, hardest part of the job, I removed the front panel with the knobs, disconnected several wiring harnesses, plug-ins, you don't need to remove every wire. I unplugged the ones I could and the rest I left attached and rested the panel on an oven rack. I then, removed the 2 front screws holding the cook top and slid the cooktop assembly forward and out. I placed the cooktop upside down on my table, which was covered with a towel. I then removed the metal covering which exposed the four elements. Once the elements were exposed, it was very easy replacing it with the new one.
