How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3949999 / WR17X11894 Ge Refrigerator Water Filter Housing And Tube Assembly

Replaced the Water Filter Housing and Tube Assembly. 

Replaced the filter head assembly and filter plug. 

Changed out filter head and works great. 

Replacing the water filter housing and tubing was very easy and fixed the problem. 

I replaced the water filter housing and tube assembly. 

With new water line assembly part. 

I ordered the water filter housing and tube, and found a YouTube video from your site that taught me just how to fix it. I am not the world's handiest girl, but I'm stubborn, and the video made it pretty simple. The only real problems I had were access- my nut driver was a little bulky for the small spaces, and I dropped one of the nuts putting it back together, so the housing is held on with one nut until I find the doggone thing in the fridge. I am insanely proud of myself, and I saved about $200 bucks according to the estimate from the repair guy who looked at it. 

Searched your site for the solution; a new hose/filter assembly. Watched a video on your site showing how to install a similar model. Went without a snag... well, almost. The hose from my water supply slipped under the refrigerator after I was done wit the installation and pushing the refrigerator back into p;lace, leaving a scratch on my floor! Be careful to tape any slack to teh refrigerator back or to the wall. 

Bought the kit, closed water main, unplugged fridge, took out water filter, removed back plate & hose (back of fridge) then installed new parts & put all back in! Labor was 20 minutes total! 

Able to quickly find the right part and order it. Shipped as promised. Received and had the water filtration system replaced in no time. Thanks for the excellent service!
