How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP4484685 / WD22X10077 Sump Filter And Cover

I originally thought the problem was the float switch but after watching videos, decided it was that the water inlet valve was stuck open. I tried getting the part at two appliance stores in town but neither had it and both told me it was cheaper and faster to order online. So I ordered on Friday afternoon and received the part the next day. I am done trying to get parts locally and will go right to appliance parts pros right away in the future. 

Ordered the new part from AppliancePartsPros.com and got it within 24hours. Paid extra $2 for fast shipping. 

Replaced Sump Filter and Cover Assembly. 

I suspected a tub seal leak and after reviewing the "exploded" view drawings I suspected a leak near the drain sump. I watched the excellent repair videos and removed the sump which was started to disintegrate. Ordered parts on Friday night, received them on Tuesday. Replaced parts and checked for leaks. DON'T forget to reconnect the drain hose to the drain trap. Lol (I wasn't laughing at the time). Really easy job. Try to use exact tools if you have them. Will have nut drivers the next time. 

New part went fantastic, just like new! 

Replaced the inlet sump, sump filter cover and fine filter hub nut. The videos help tremendously on how to replace the parts. 

I ordered the 4 assemblies that had rubber or plastic parts in the drainage system. After reviewing, pulling out the dishwasher and looking at the underside. While reviewing the videos for each assembly. I narrowed down the list to the 4 I felt were worn out or broken. 

Pulled the unit out enough to feel pump motor, got the model# and used your website for part. Have used your website before, it's great by the way. Watched your repair video before ordering the pump, install was so easy when the part arrived. Thanks 

Cleaned the tub and replaced the sump filter, spray arms, and sump pump. Should be good for another ten years. 

Replaced sump, sump filter, and lower spray arm.
