How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP4484685 / WD22X10077 Sump Filter And Cover

I used lime away, vinegar, finish washer cleaner none of them worked. Finally just use Brillo on the entire cabinet interior. It came out very clean. Only needed very light scrubbing. Then replaced the severely corroded filters Riser tube and upper jet which was not turning. After this the upper arm turned perfectly silverware and glassware and silverware came out rinse very clean. Will do preventative maintenance in the future. Dishwasher was about 5 years old GE Profile high-end 

I replaced the sump and filter and cleaned all internal parts. The replacement parts arrived about 18 hours after ordering. 

INSTALLED THE NEW DRAIN PUMP AND SUMP FILTER ASSEMBLY. THE INSTALL WAS NO PROBLEM AND THE DISH WASHER IS WORKING GREAT AGAIN. 

I replaced the drain pump, drain hose, and sump filter. Repairs took me about 2 hours. I just followed the advice from the videos which are great by the way. I had to pull the washer back out to tighten the drain hose connection but my washer is working like new again. 

I look at the diagram of the dishwasher. Once I id the parts were broken and too old, I watched some of the video instructions. Immediately the parts arrived, it took me about 30 minutes to replaced them. Now my dishwasher sound like new. It is actually a lot quitter than before. 

The filter made a huge difference. It was simple to replace the filter following the video instructions The dishes are clean. 

Replaced several parts of which all fit like original and it was a fairly straightforward repair. Only difference from repair video was a support bracket and 2 screws that I had to remove. 

Replaced pump connector. 

Replaced the sump filter & the housing' 

I ordered parts, replaced them. The dishwasher draining and cleaning back to standard my wife can accept.
