How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2038876 / WD08X10015 Door Gasket Insert

By replacing the gasket inserts. 

Purchased the replacement gaskets, viewed the videos on the Appliance Parts Pros website and installed the new gaskets. 

New gaskets. Easy order from parts diagram. Watch video on You Tube. Remove old, install new. Job done and no more leaks. 

Replaced corner baffles, gasket insert and door gasket. 

After some quick googling around, I examined the seal which looked old and cracked. I bought a new seal from AppliancePartsPros and also bought a new center seal (there are two seals in this dishwasher... news to me!). I watched the video on the web site and was able to install the new seal in like five minutes! Super easy and much less expensive than calling out a repairman! 

Reviewed the instructions provided by your web site, then ordered all the door gasket components. They arrived in two days. I removed the old components, and installed the new ones. Leak has stopped, and all is well. Had plenty of folks say just get a new dishwasher. This would have been more expensive, and I avoided the hassle of the installation. No need to fill a landfill with a perfectly good dishwasher. Can't complain about this expenditure after 20 years of service. You have a fantastic web site and tutorials. 

Purchased all three gasket kits for the door based on reading the customer feedback reviews. I watched a couple of the repair videos and found them very helpful. The parts ordering process was very easy using the appliance diagrams. I followed the instructions in the video and the replacement of all the gaskets took about 20 minutes total. Test ran the dishwasher and had no leaks. The whole project went as planned. 

I replaced the small door seal on the bottom of the door. 

Decided to replace the whole door gasket. I ordered it and it came in a timely manner. It was an easy fix, except when I ran it through a cycle it leaked at the side. I had to adjust the latch and that fixed it. I took the inside of the door out to give everything a good cleaning. It's 27 years old and works good. 

Replaced with parts purchased.
