William D Raleigh , NC November 09, 2014 Bulb under ge profile burned out after 13 years AppliancePartsPros helped me find the model and serial number which led to the part number for the bulb. APP.com was $15 each from GE (I'm thinking they have made some effort to determine that it really is a GE part) vs. $1.40 and up from all the Usual Suspects on the web. Shipping was $6 so I bought 2 bulbs -- each a tiny glass envelope with two pins sticking out. I tucked a large towel around, beside and in back of the stove top so that when I dropped the bulb, it wouldn't drop behind or beside the range. If you line up the pins to the tiny socket holes and push straight in, the pins won't bend. Only dropped the bulb twice -- onto the towel. Hopefully they will go another 13 years. Richard F Palm Coast , FL November 30, 2019 Appliance: General Electric Free Standing Microwave JVM1860WD002 One of two lights did not work Ordered a replacement bulb from Appliance Parts and received it the next day. Wow - great service. Remembered not to touch the bulb with direct contact to the skin and used a tissue to hold bulb while inserting. Only had to remove one screw to drop the lens and remove the old bulb and insert a new one and close lens. No more than a two-minute job. Thanks to Appliance Parts I found this special bulb and it was in stock. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers

Deborah D Camarillo , CA October 17, 2016 Appliance: General Electric Free Standing Microwave SCA1000HWW04 The surface light under the microwave burned out I removed the cover for the light and inserted the bulb...not very exciting, however, what was impressive was the service. I ordered the bulb on a Thursday and it arrived the next day. I also ordered a motor (different time) which arrived promptly, and the instructions on their web site made it a snap to take the old one out and put the new one in. DD Read More... Robert B Riverside , CA September 24, 2016 Turntable would not turn and one surface light was not working Following a video guide, I used a cross-head screwdriver to remove 7 screws at the bottom panel. Then I was able to move the bottom panel to access the turntable motor, which was easily replaced by removing two screws and detaching and reattaching an electrical connector. This also enabled me to clean grease residue at the bottom of the microwave, before reattaching the bottom panel. In addition, the one bottom surface light was easily replaced by unscrewing one screw and moving a bottom light panel down. Both repairs would be fairly easy for someone with moderate mechanical skill. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
