Lon D Lawrence , KS November 30, 2018 Appliance: Model JKP44GOV1BB Baking element was burning out and the door handle was broken The element was the easy part, except I neglected to turn the breakers off to the ovens and when I removed the bolts that held it in and started to pull the old one out I got a bit of a spark. After shutting the breakers off it was easy to install with a my electric drill and a hex driver. The door handle needed one end replaced so the front panel of the door had to be removed by removing the three or four screws along the top edge of the door and allowing it carefully to open up. The screw was removed, the guide plugs were removed from the door end (the door did not have the guide holes) and the screw was re-inserted in the new handle end while my wife supported the handle. I tightened it up, reinserted the screws in the top of the door and the repair was complete. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers, Screwdrivers
