How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP6891612 / WR30X30972 Icemaker

Called appliancepartspros.com and spoke to lady tech/ customer service and ordered a replacement. I watched the video showing the procedure for replacement. The shipping terms I selected was 2 to 6 days delivery and was surprised when it arrived the next day. 

Bought a new one 

New ice maker. 

Replaced it. Straight forward repair went well and its making ice like crazy. 

Ordered the new icemaker kit. Received it, removed the old ice maker popped the new one in in less than 10 minutes then turn the power back on and it started making and dispensing ice within an hour of installation. The ice bucket was full of ice in less than 24 hours. 

I bought a replacement ice maker which I initially thought was not the direct replacement. Although installation was not exactly as in the video I was able to easily install. Along with my new ice bucket assembly I now have ice again. 

Purchased replacement ice maker.Haveng issue with pigtail plug. Longer than original and having to change routing. Ice bin pushes plugin out. Should be able to make it work. 

The part can within 20 hours and I just paid for regular way shipping. Very Good 

I replaced the water valve. 

Ordered an New one from your web site and replaced it my self in 20 Minutes. New one works great. Thanks Chuck
