How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2024076 / WB24T10029 Range Surface Burner Control Switch

Replaced the burner switch. 

Checked out an online video. The rest was simple mechanics. Pay attention as to which wire goes to what terminal. 

I figured the rocker switch was bad so I ordered it and replaced it. I also ordered the burner control switch to fix the other problem. Removing the back of the range and replacing the parts took about a total of 15 minutes. Problem solved!!! Thanks to AppliancePartsPros.com for their help in having the parts I needed. 

I replaced the Surface Burner Control Switch. 

I plugged another small surface element into to test the circuit. The element did not heat. I then found your site on the web and searched for parts for my GE electric range. I ordered a Range Surface Burner Control Switch and a 6 Inch Small Surface Element. The parts arrived in a couple days. I then unplugged the electric range , removed the old Burner Control Switch, installed the new switch, installed the new 6 inch surface element, reconnected the the electric range to power. I turned the new surface on and it worked. The surface element indicator light now goes out when all burners are turned off. The installation took about 15 minutes using a screwdriver and a nut driver. Easy fix. 

I ordered a replacement infinity switch and installed it upon receiving delivery of the part. 

I looked up the electric stove model on your website and put in the information on what was happening with the burners. I then watched the video on what the problem might be and followed the directions for getting the model number and how to remove and replace the switches. Then ordered the parts and fixed the problem. Thanks for your video. 

Replaced the burner control switch. 

We ordered front and rear heat control. Then removed the stove from the wall. Removed the small upper panel on the back of the stove. To make it easy t. I took the new part and swapped the wires from old to new in sequence so I would not get the wires crossed. Removed front control knobs and remove two cross tip screws per knob. Position new knob and install the screws. The wire connectors are the blade type and can be hard to remove so use a pair of needle-nose plyers to gently pull the wire off. I would say this job is not easy or hard. 

Replaced both range surface burner and infinite controls.
