How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2029997 / WB36X10003 Light Bulb

Decided to replace light bulb sockets. Took off bottom cover of microwave with screwdriver, Disconnected stake on terminals on old sockets, removed with screwdriver. Replaced and reconnected stake on connecters. Replaced bottom cover. All done 

Replaced bulbs 

Looked up the manual on line, got the part numbers, searched the internet for the parts, found them on AppliancePartsPro, watched the repair video, and made the purchase. Ordered the parts and they were here in less than two days - amazingly fast. Easy to install.

The Turntable in our GE microwave has not been working for a couple of years. In looking up the part I found the Appliance Part Pros. I found the part and the attached video explained everything. Long story short...I now have one happy wife. 

I ordered the socket, kight buld and the glass. Great delivery and right on time. Installation was easy and my wife is happy she can see items on the left side of stove top. Thank you. 

Unplugged microwave. Removed the under plate of the microwave by first removing screws, disconnected electrical, laid on flat surface. Removed and replaced glass plates. One light bulb was removed and replaced easily. The second bulb broke off, so, that's why I had to remove the under plate and get the twisted part of the light bulb out with a pair of mini needle nose pliers. If the bulb didn't break, the repair could have been done without removing the plate. Reassembled microwave, and the new lights work great!! 

This was a very easy repair. I ordered a bulb socket to make 100% sure this repair could be finished in a one time manner. 2 screw for the front grille and 1 screw for the cover over the light compartment. Even with my big hands in this small compartment, I managed to replace the bulb without problems. easy! 

Just screwed the bulbs in
