How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2029997 / WB36X10003 Light Bulb

Replaced the broken parts per your videos. 

I ordered the parts and it was a simple fix. I took off the glass over the bulbs by unscrewing two screws and replaced the bulbs. 

Ordered two bulbs from you, and screwed them in. Voila! 

I tried a bulb purchased locally. These burned out very quickly. My husband bought two more locally. I told him they would not work. I went online with the model number of my microwave. I selected the AppliancePartsPros.com website. I entered my microwave model number and the bulb loaded for purchase. I ordered two bulbs for the microwave since it has two lights in it. Removed the bottom panel and disconnected the wires to the bulb sockets. Removed and replaced the sockets, bulbs, and glass lens. Replaced the bottom panel. 

This just involved taking off the cover and changing light bulbs. Finding the right size light bulbs was the main challenge. The most excellent part of the experience was, I ordered parts for 3 different appliances on Friday afternnoon and everything came the next day! Every part was the right thing! Exactly what was needed to repair older model oven, microwave, and cooktop. So rare to have such a good home repair experience. 

I actually found the AppliancePartsPros.com repair video on YouTube before I visited the site. Once I saw how easy the repair would be, I ordered the coupler (and a spare bulb, since one was burned out). Both parts arrived super fast! I spent more time cleaning buildup off the microwave's base and filter screen than I spent actually replacing the coupler. 

Well, not willing to buy another microwave. I decided too, look into a new handle along with new light bulbs that are hard to find, along with new underneath glass that protect the light bulbs. I watched a video on the Appliance Store website on how to fix the turntable! I purchased a replacement turntable motor from the Appliance Store, and following the clear instructions from the video replaced the motor within minutes! The only tool needed was a phillipshead screwdriver! The total cost was a fraction of the cost for replacing the microwave (above the stove mount)! Easy, inexpensive repair! I'm thrilled!
