How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2063068 / WR13X10020 Lower Door Hinge Kit

Purchased and replaced the lower door hinge kit. Watched the video a couple of times, made some notes and tackled the job. The video was really good, even though it included the water supply information for doing the freezer door. The one thing not emphasized was the importance of the stacking order of the shims and door swing stop on assembly. It kind of falls apart when you take the old one off preventing you to remove a piece at a time to set up the assembly. Nothing serious, but if done wrong the door may not swing to a complete return easily. Also, do the work with the door completely open, not partially, it sets things up a little bet better going together. Everything went well and life extension of the refrigerator was successful. 

Ordered parts. Watched video. Received parts. Fit perfect, 15 min later fixed. Saved buying new one for 3000.00. Very happy. 

It needed a new lower door hinge kit. The old cam was completely worn-out after 30 years of service. BTW, this is the first repair I have ever had to make on that refrigerator after 30 years. After watching the video on how to replace the lower hinge parts, I had it done in 15 minutes with no other help. $45.00 in parts was well worth it. I can only imagine what a repair tech would have charged me. 

I put the hinge assembly on that I bought from you. It really should be done with 2 people. There needs to be a second person to hold the door. After it fell on top of me, I finally got the new hinge assembly on. It was easier to finish with the door closed instead of open. That made a huge difference & made it easier to support the door. 

Purchased the lower hinge from you guys It was delivered in two days and my husband was able to fix the door the next day. Found you very helpful and accommodating and pleasant to deal with. 

Unscrewed and replaced broken parts. 

I removed the door and installed the parts on the door and the refrigerator frame. 

Son did the work 

Lower Door hinge kit fit perfectly and functions like new. Took 10 minutes to change, video was very helpful. Have purchased from appliance parts pros before and will again.
