Mike L Hughson , CA November 20, 2023 Appliance: Model GTW330ASKOWW Stuck in mid cycle would not function The problem was a bad circuit board. The replacement was simple. Maybe 30 min. Then there was MY mistake. It was running now, but not properly. I got assistance from an APP rep. (Brandy) She was patient and helpful. I continued to troubleshoot and reset the circuit board to no avail. I called again and spoke to another rep. (Sally) and she was helpful as well. While she was troubleshooting the issue with me, she commented about a vacuum tube connecting to the circuit board. A light bulb went on in my head as I realized (NOW!) that I failed to connect it. (dummy). I thanked her for her help, connected the tube and it ran fine. Thank you, APP for your help. Word to the wise, take pictures BEFORE you take things apart, and compare when you (think) are done. I usually do, but not this time, and suffered for it. Thanks again APP. Peter W Hull , MA February 27, 2023 Appliance: Model GTW335ASN1WW Lid lock switch and main circuit board. I damaged my lid lock switch in anger by slamming the lid, not my best moment. I attempted to get around it by disassembling my old switch which did work for a time but it would throw the lid lock error code. Over 10 days, this damaged the circuit board. After some research and some trial and error, I discovered there is no way around the lid lock switch without risking the circuit board. Once I installed a new Lid Lock Switch (very easy) and a Main Control Board (relatively easy 15 minutes) the machine returned to good working order. The lesson, you can't outsmart the computerized machines, just replace the parts. Chad S Zephyrhills , FL May 23, 2020 Appliance: General Electric Washer GTW330ASK2WW Grinding noise during agitation cycle and clothes kept balling up in one spot. This was my mother's washing machine and she had a repairman come out to look. He said the controller board was malfunctioning and causing the machine to allow the clothes to partially spin during the agitation cycle, which is why they kept balling up. He said it would be $350 to fix. She paid him for his time and sent him on his way. I ordered the board and replaced it myself. It took maybe an hour, start to finish, and the machine operates fine now. In fact, it now makes beeping noises when turning the dials to each setting, which it did not do before. That made me wonder if the board wasn't faulty to begin with, especially since it failed in a machine only 2 years old. I found the job to be very easy, and believe most anybody could do it with a basic tool set from Walmart.
