How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP4337288 / WR60X10258 Ice Auger Motor

I test the auger motor not working and next to the motor is the solenoid I see it was burned I remplace both parts and now is all fix working perfect 

The ice crusher motor for $68 did the trick. Easy to install by the instructions on the YouTube video. I should have replaced it Mitch sooner. 

I first tried "thawing" the motor to see if it was frozen. When that didn't work, I could tell that the other components were operating correctly, so I assumed it was a bad motor. I went online to Appliance Part Pros, found and ordered the new motor. When the new motor arrived, I followed along with the video and had the ice maker working again in about 30 minutes!

This is a must read for those replacing mother board and still having problems. First I replaced the mother board and my fridge worked but not everything. So appliances parts pros sent me a second board, thinking board was defective. I put new board in and once again fixed some thing's but not all. So I did the following. I replaced all thermostats, ice cube maker, ice cube augur, light switch in fridge door and last but not least the refrigerator damper assembly. Now the fridge is working completely again. So if your mother board goes out which mine did, don't be afraid to replace other parts in the fridge. Everything I replaced I guess needed to be replaced because it worked after the new one was installed. Total cost was about $600.00. Worth every penny.

John helped me determine my problem and even gave me links to where I could get parts. I ordered the parts and being fairly mechanically I took my Ice maker parts and did the necessary checks to determine what parts I needed. I ordered the parts and man did they arrive fast (two days). I installed and tested and Wa La we got ice ! 

Replaced the support bracket for the ice bucket. Replaced the auger motor for the ice dispenser and installed the new coupler for the microwave tray to spin. Everything works great now! 

I fixed the problem by replacing the Ice Auger motor using Appliance Parts Pros. online demonstration. It was quite simple. 

I watched the videos on appliance parts pros and decided to try to fix my ice machine on my own. I'm a 50 year old housewife and gave it a try. I ordered a new ice maker and ice auger motor. The repair was super easy!! So glad I did it! Thank you appliance parts pros!! 

Auger dispenser drive coupler stripped at motor shaft could not remove it. Replacement of motor assembly needed to repair issue. All new parts fit after i removed motor housing. Needed to cut old auger off shaft to get old motor off, used my Dremel tool cut off wheel. Repairs took about an hour. Dispenser now working.
