How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2030997 / WB44T10011 Bake Element

Was able to google the part and took me right to apppiance parts pros! Found the part easy with how to instructions on installing. Received the part in 2 days. Easiest on line experience. 

Ordered part on saturday got part on monday was very impressed with that. Husband replaced the part in 10 minutes thank you for such quick service 

Replaced element and installed new electrical terminals. 

I ordered the correct replacement element and watched the video on how to replace the element. 

Replacement baking element on bottom of oven 

Ordered new part came so fast almost overnight with regular shipping fee! Watched you tube provided ppliance pros.com and that helped a lot ! One slight change oven part was bolted on instead of screws so needed a wrench! Came out nice and pay attention to warning about clips to unit from back of heating element! You want to be very careful not to loose them to the back of the oven and installation ! We got a paper clip and wrapped the at around the 2 connections . To remove you need to pull out and they were a bit snug ! Connect the new ones and but bolt on two spots and we were done! Easier and faster than we thought and had never done before! Saved a lot instead of new oven! Very pleased !thank you! 

Ordered new baking element 

Removed and replaced heating elent. Only two screws to remove and the wires have a connector that mates withe the heating element 

Replaced the element 

Checked baking element with multimeter; reading was 18 ohms - so OK. Figured it had to be the control board. I watched ApplianceParts video, and found it very helpful. I did a few things differently. Left the old control board in place while pulling out wiring harnesses; put new board in before plugging in harnesses. This made it easier for extraction and insertion.
