How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2031031 / WB44X200 Oven Bake Element

Before I replaced the entire oven that has lasted this long. I checked to see if they still have replacement parts for my ~60-year-old oven. Thankfully GE still makes a replacement part that fits my model. I ordered both the bake and broiler elements to give my oven a refresh. The repair took less than 30 minutes. Elements work great. 

The appliance parts store didn't have the part, oven to old. Found you guys and with your help identified the correct part #. 2 days later part was at our door. Easy to change out and now we will be able to enjoy Thanksgiving at our house. Thank you so much, you made it so easy. 

Replaced with a new element that fit perfect and delivered in one day. The representative was very helpful as he made sure we had the right part for a GE oven made in 1980.

My 1980 house has the original double ovens and was worried I wouldn’t be able to find the part I needed to replace.But AppliancePartsPros.com helped me out with finding the part for me and got the part in one day. Replacing the element instructions were easy only thing that I struggled with is getting the really old nuts screws off. I was using a wrench and eventually they came off. Also the part where the element connects to the Wires was screwed together and would move around when trying to loosen the nut so I used pliers to hold it still while using a nut driver to unscrew it. Connecting the new one was easy and now have a working oven! Thank you AppliancePartPros.

Replaced 

I looked up the model number of my oven on Appliance Parts Pros. It was very easy to find the part. The video was very helpful! It made it very easy to take the old part out and put the new one in. Before I started the project, the manufacturer recommended I do not do it myself and have a professional come in. That definitely was not necessary. It took 5 minutes and I saved a lot of money. 

4 screws to remove the element, then hook the new one up the same way. So easy.
