How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2031031 / WB44X200 Oven Bake Element

I ordered a part for my 1970’s wall oven. It was hard to find the correct part. I chatted with Mike and ordered the part he suggested. Watched the video and replaced the element with no trouble. 

Ordered proper replacement part , watched video, and installed. Saved a lot of money doing it myself.

We bought a new bake unit for the bottom of the oven and replaced it. 

The Oven was installed in 1987. I replaced the Oven Baking Element in 2008 using a part from AppliancePartsPros8 Pros. Fixed the problem. The oven started experiencing the same issue again, now 14 years later. I purchased another Oven Baking Element, which again fixed the problem. Followed the video on generic Oven Baking Element replacement - 4 screws was all it took. Easy. Working again like new.

Installed a new bake element, perfect replacement. 

Replaced element. Part arrived super-quick. 

Simple replacement with new element. Needed to use the included screws to connect the wire leads as the original screws were a different size. First time turned on it smoked a lot as the oils on the element had to burn off. After that, no more smoke and the element works. FYI my original element lasted 35 years.
