How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2014008 / WB2X9154 Round Style Oven Or Broiler Igniter

Looked up symptoms on Yputube. Removed igniter and tested with a multimeter and found it to be defective so I ordered a replacement and after the part being initially misrouted to Texas it arrived in seven (7) days. Repair and reassembly of the appliance took about 30 minutes or so to complete. Works like new !!!!!! 

I ordered an igniter, received it, it was broken, emailed situation, received an immediate response, received a replacement, it was unbroken and it worked. Thank you APP. 

Replaced it with the Broiler Igniter, and after viewing the install video, it was easy, took some time but it works great, the oven heating element rarely burns out, everyone should go to you for parts and help for any installations. 

Removed oven components to expose igniter. Cut wiring to old igniter,marking one leg to maintain polarity. Removed the venturi to make the removal, installation easy. Replaced the igniter, re-installed the venturi, spliced the wiring and done. Reassembled the oven components, pushed a couple of buttons, and voila! The timing between ordering and delivery was incredible! 

On testing the circuit, I determined that there was an issue with the igniter. Upon ordering a new igniter, there was no circuit out of the box. I called the technical expert and walked me through verifying that the new part was broken and suggested other tests to verify that the igniter was the only problem. Upon verification of receiving a defective part, a new one was delivered the next day which worked. The customer service experience took less than 20 min total and was clear, informative, and took me quickly to the correct solution. While you obviously wish to have the correct part immediately, this was the best service I have encountered in many years and has won a significant amount of customer loyalty going forward. 

First I watched the DIY video provided on your website, then I determined what part I needed and replaced the gas igniter that I purchased from your company. 

Removed old igniter, cleaned area, and installed new igniter. Wired into the circuit ( 2 wires ) and put all covers back in place. Reinstalled burner plate and bottom oven plate. New GE glow igniter from AppliancePartsPros.com works great. The part was packaged well so no damage from shipping. Also got part in 2 days, which is fast. The price of the part and shipping was good. I like the one-year part warranty also. The oven is used a lot by the wife. The old igniter lasted ten years of heavy use. Roper gas range from the 1980s was built well, simple, and trouble-free. 

I ordered the part from AppliancePartsPros.com and received a replacement part within a couple of days! That was a real plus in my book! I followed the featured story on your website on replacing the bottom oven ignitor with a little twist on the installation of the replacement ignitor. After getting access to the ignitor it took me a while to remove the ignitor from the manifold. Had to use a 1/4" small ratchet holder to remove mounting screws. Knowing the installation would take just as long for those two fasteners. I removed two mounting screws securing the back of the manifold with a 1/4" extension and one in the front to take it out entirely. Disconnected the wire connector from the gas valve and the other wire from the back to the failed ignitor. With manifold out, mounted new ignitor with ease; cut respective wires to length and reconnected with nuts provided in repair packet. Guided wires through the back of oven and valve and connect as required. Reinstalled manifold and secured hardware. Reinstalled all removed panels and lower drawer. Electrical power was not disconnected nor gas turned off. It was a quick installation. Turn on the oven and the ignitor worked fine. 

We replaced the Oven Igniter.
