How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP6889136 / WH23X28418 Drain Pump

I ordered a new drain pump for our GE washing machine and received it the next day. It took less than 15 minutes to replace and we were on our way washing clothes and blankets again. For a dry exchange of pumps, suck the water out of your machine through the washing machine drain hose with a shop vacuum until all of the water is gone. Don't quit too soon. Make sure no more water is in the drain hose before shutting down the shop vac. After that it was very simple. Thanks for the fast delivery. 

I replaced the drain pump. 

I don’t know how they do it. I ordered a replacement drain pump assembly for our washing machine on Wednesday, and the part was sitting at the door Thursday when I got home from town around 10am?!?! HOW!!?!? It was, For Real, a 21 hr turnaround! Do they use drones?...Hoverboards?...Aliens?...it’s got to be otherworldly because my Amazon orders take 3 days sometimes and miss the deadline. Also, the part fixed the problem. But the Shipping! Amazing!

I replaced the water pump. Very easy. Three bolts, one plug and two small screws. Piece of cake. 

Replaced drain pump motor...pretty annoying since it is only a 3 year old washer.
