How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP4324598 / WH23X10028 Drain Pump Assembly

Replaced the drain pump. Very simple and easy! 

Read other people’s comments and found the resolution. Replacement took 5 minutes and it feels like I have a brand new washer again. 

Fix was fast and easy 

Started with cleaning the filter trap. Found 4 quarters, 2 3-inch screws and 2 broken drill bits. Water still did not drain. Watched a you tube video and from that determined that the pump was not working. Ordered the part from Appliance Parts Pros. It arrived the next day. Watched your installation video twice to be sure I knew how to replace the old part. Easy replacement because of the video instructions. 

Ordered the part using the make, model, serial number...repeated the steps in the video attached to the part ordering section....in 15 minutes I was back to doing laundry. Very easy! Still bewildered at the price I was quoted for the part by a service tech of $295.00 as opposed to the $139.00 I paid. The difference in price was due to "genuine" parts, but the pump I bought was stamped "genuine". Its a mystery! By doing it myself, I also saved the $145.00 labor cost! 

Replaced the pump with new one. It took about 20 minutes. It was just five screws and two hose clamps. The washer works lime new. 

Order a pump form Appliance Parts Pros, watched the video and my husband installed it. 

Replaced the Drain Pump 

Simple, order part. Remove and replace. 

Ordered Part and put in new pump.
