How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP5632594 / WH23X10043 Drain Pump

I ordered a new drain pump and all is good. 

I checked for plugged drainage tubes, but all were clear, so I concluded the pump was bad and ordered a new one. That solved the problem. I removed the front of the washing machine by opening the two top catches with a putty knife. I used channel lock pliers to move the spring clamps away from the pump on the inlet and outlet tubes, and a 3/8 inch socket wrench to remove the pump mounting screws. Only three common household tools were required. The machine works like new again. 

I went to appliancepartspros.com, looked at the parts I needed, watched the repair videos, then ordered my parts. The parts, (drain pump, 4 dampening straps, rubber) came fast. After watching the repair videos, which are excellent, anybody can fix their appliances. 

Replaced it with new unit. 

We replaced the water/drain pump. 

Replaced drain pump. 

Replaced the water pump. 

Removed and replaced the water pump. 

My 10 year old washer decided that it was time to die. The pump was turning but not pumping out the water. It was an easy fix. Ordered the part at 5pm and It was on my door step the next day by 2pm with regular shipping. This is the best place on the internet to get the parts you need for all your appliances. I will use them again! 

I watched a repair video on YouTube and followed the instructions. Simple fix.
